Charlett & Gatcliffe limited
About Us
Our founder, Peter Charlett built his reputation within the international insurance industry as he actively engaged in general insurance for over fifty years having joined Lloyd’s of London Broker, Sedgwick’s, in 1942. He was with Barclays Bank in the West Indies from 1949 to 1956 before joining H.G. Gatcliffe & Company Limited. At that time, he formed the insurance brokerage department using his strategic advantage of his valuable connections in the London market, particularly Lloyd’s Underwriters.
As a result of the successful growth of this activity in 1971 he formed Charlett & Gatcliffe Limited as specialist insurance brokers for all classes of general insurance, including Accident and Marine.
Today Charlett & Gatcliffe Ltd is one of the leading Insurance Brokers in Caribbean with a client listing that have been with the company from the start.
